The Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) hosted and welcomed its members to the first Industry Catch-up at the BTCC, Donington Park on Friday. The members were hosted by Speedworks Corolla Racing with an opening presentation by their Team Principal, Christian Dick. A great insight to the new season was also shared by Alan Gow with a very upbeat message of the encouraging increase in BTCC sponsorship coming into the championship in 2026, long may it continue.

Max Buxton, one of the Speedworks Corolla Racing Team drivers was on hand to explain aspects of the race car controls during the pit garage visit. All I can say is, I’m glad Max is fully understanding all the complexities that a modern BTCC driver now must get their head around to compete in this great championship.

The Speedworks Corolla race cars are the only cars manufactured in the UK taking part in this year’s BTCC, so congratulations to Toyota for supporting UK business as well as the support they provide to the Motorsport industry in the UK. I would like to extend my thanks to all the team and drivers for their time and insight and to wish them the best for the 2026 season ahead.
